Anti-thesis

Benedictions of foes,
Maledictions of friends.

Longevity of troubles,
Causticity of love.

Melodies of ravens,
Shrieks of doves.

Trepidations of life,
Celebrations of death.

Impuissance of innocents,
Insouciance of sycophants.

  2. ha! love this piece - both as a poem in its own right (which btw is written with such a clear voice and with such care in the language) but also because I just wrote a poem called "Thesis" (used the Greek word - meaning "to place/to locate"), literally a day or so back. Ha! Love it when things like that happen.

Yours is better by a mile.

well the world is a smaller place than we think, and these co-incidences make us believe in a higher power.

  9. I really liked it. I find it kind of funny though that just a few minutes before I was reading Kodjo Deynoo's poem that also contained a similar format.

  19. Merlin's Beard :O
I would need a translator this time. Don't know the meaning of half the words you have used. This poem evokes in me a lot of respect. I can see there's much to learn from you. In the words of my fav character Poirot,I wud say "Following you now, mon ami" :)
